Roy and Sally King met at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte, North Carolina, where Roy was playing basketball for Al McGuire and Sally was the Homecoming Queen. Following graduation with an accounting degree, Roy started his career with the telephone company. Sally received a secretarial degree and worked at an insurance company.
After investing thirteen years as a corporate manager, Roy found himself working 80 hours per week and heavily involved in community affairs such as Junior Achievement, United Way, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
It was at this time Roy became aware he was spending too much time chasing a dollar and too little time with his family and not fulfilling his own dreams.
He initially kept his 80 hours per week job but also started coaching individuals how to increase income utilizing the Seed Academy. As individuals achieved their monthly income goal, he taught them how to implement the principles of the Kingdom Academy thereby creating greater financial prosperity without painful toiling for it.
